Grooveshark app coming to a webOS device near you

Online music service Grooveshark will be releasing a native app for webOS devices, Palm Pre and Pixi (Plus versions, included). The dedicated application will provide Grooveshark fans with an access to millions of tracks, all of which users can stream from the web. In addition, you will be able to make your own or grab/listen other people’s playlists.

No exact release date has been announced — all we have is “very soon,” plus a commitment that VIP users (who pay $3 per month) will get early access.

Few months back, Grooveshark has released mobile apps for BlackBerry and Android platforms, and should’ve released the iPhone version a long time ago (July 2009). To this date, the service is not available for the iUsers, and we wonder why that’s the case. There are quite a few similar music-streaming apps in the AppStore, so Apple’s policies shouldn’t stand on the way.

Finally, we have a demo video of Grooveshark for webOS, featuring the Palm Pre and “oily after-dinner fingers.” Enjoy! 😉
