Borrowing the headline from my pal Dusan, I thought I should publish what I’ve found to be the most notable clone of the week.
Remember the ‘BlueBerry‘? You know, the BlackBerry knock-off that first hit our pages gosh, it must be over a year ago now. The first BlueBerry was a clear copy of the Bold 9000, hit a price point of $170, and came with a QVGA screen, two SIM card slots, and a build quality that left much to be desired.
You can tell where this is going, right?
The BlueBerry is back with a new look. A new device has popped up, in the form of the ‘BlueBerry 9500’. It looks strange for sure, kind of a cross between a BlackBerry Bold 9700, Nokia E72, and (I think) I even spot some similarities with the Palm Pixi. Probably that thick space/bezel around the edge of the screen. Definitely Pixi-esque. At any rate, the BlueBerry 9500 features two SIM card slots yet again, but you’ll also get WiFi, an optical trackpad, a TV tuner with retractable antenna and much more clone-filled goodness.
I wonder when the first touchscreen BlueBerry is coming out!? 🙂
