ProOnGo Expense is probably the best expense tracking iPhone (3GS) app

They say when you want to start saving, you should first start keeping track of your expenses. So it’s not surprising there are quite a few expense tracking apps available in the AppStore. There is one, however, that stands out from the pack. It’s called ProOnGo Expense and here’s why it’s better:

  • Export to Excel (.XLSX), XML, CSV
  • QuickBooks Online Edition integration (very handy for business expenses)
  • Fax expenses to any fax number in North America
  • Customized Expense Categories and Types (though this is possible with similar apps as well)
  • Ability to snap photos of receipts with image editor!
  • Time and mileage expenses (the latter can rely on GPS)
  • Chart and graph your expense trends
  • Support for multiple currencies

I was already sold on the export function. I like my iPhone, but I don’t want to have my data stuck on a handset. In addition, as I try to be as productive as possible, keeping track of time and mileage expenses will also come handy…
