Slacker Radio

Thanks to a deal with the new music submission service at Hello Music, Slacker Radio is now allowing unsigned artists to upload their music and create their own artist-based radio station. Cool beans. This is a huge opportunity for any unsigned band that simply wants their music to get out there, to be heard. The good folks at Hello Music are providing the service bands will need to upload music, add photos, bios, and finally create their station… all for free.

Zack Zalon, Managing Partner of Hello Music offered his two cents on the deal:

“Slacker is giving unsigned bands an extraordinary opportunity to take control of digital radio and be broadcast to a potential audience of millions… This is the simplest and easiest way for musicians to get themselves heard in exactly the right context for people to discover their music. It’s an invaluable opportunity.”

So, you’re in a band and want to take advantage? To get started, hop on over to HelloMusic.com/slacker to register and upload your stuff. Once submitted, an evaluation team will review the music, and get back to the artist(s) with a digital A&R snapshot, plus they’ll look at which of Hello Music’s partners may be a good fit for the artist (including Slacker). OK bandies, get uploadin’.

Note: Slacker Radio is currently available for Palm webOS, Android, iPhone and BlackBerry devices. For more info hit up Slacker.com.
