Palm’s two webOS wonders, the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus, will be coming to AT&T soon, after enjoying launches on Verizon. We kind of, sort of saw this one coming, but it’s good news for a company that’s currently fighting an uphill battle.
The Pre Plus has 16 GB of storage memory, a portrait-oriented, sliding, full QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and a 480 x 320 touch display. The little brother known as the Pixi Plus, is a candybar with a smaller screen (400 x 320, 2.63″ vs. 3.1″), 2 megapixel camera, and only 8 GB of storage memory, but is consummately less expensive. Let’s just hope the release of these webOS phones on AT&T will at least stem the downward tide Palm has been facing.
You’ll be able to pick up the Palm Pre Plus for $149.99 and the Palm Pixi Plus for $49.99 on contract when it becomes available “in the coming months”. The latest guess plants a launch over the summer.
