The Apple iPad uses one of the easiest (and fun) to use interfaces available to mobile devices, but that doesn’t mean every Joe and Jane iPad Buyer will be able to get their shiny new tablet device. Details, like setting up email accounts, installing apps, and getting around the bundled services could prove challenging to some (not us, for the record). For people that fall in this demographic, Apple has announced their “iPad Personal Setup” service to help in-store buyers configure their iPad on launch day.
Walk into an Apple store on iPad Day, buy your tablet, and you will be offered help to get your finger-friendly toy up and running and customized with your accounts and apps. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Apple go down this road – the company offered similar setup assistance with the iPhone back in the day. Customers were assured ample time to select the proper iPhone, the best AT&T service plan, and even help with setting up email when purchasing an iPhone in-store. This new setup service will take that personalized help to the next level. That is, if you need it.
We’ll be sure to show you exactly what to expect with the iPad come later this week. Stay tuned!
