With news of the BlackBerry Storm 9530 discontinued on Bell, I wondered out loud how long it’d be until we noticed the Storm2 making an appearance on Canada’s ‘big blue‘. That was yesterday. Today, we’re already hearing launch date and pricing rumblings. Crazy.
Here are the details via our buds at MobileSyrup:
Launch Date: April 13th
Pricing: $349.95 on a 3-year, $399.95 on a 2-year, $499.95 on a 1-year and $549.95 off-contract
Of course, to compete with TELUS we’ll probably see some an initial promotion period. Currently TELUS sells the Storm2 at $199.99, so keep that in the back of your mind as we’ll probably see a similar promo price hitting us via Bell.
If Bell is the carrier of your choice, and you’d like to check out the latest in the Storm series, looks like you won’t have to wait long at all. The Storm2 9550 is a CDMA device with 3.25″ 480×360 display, OS 5.0, 3.2MP camera, WiFi, GPS, SurePress, full QWERTY (touchscreen), 3.5mm headset jack, speakerphone and much more.
Stay tuned for more on the Bell BlackBerry Storm2 9550 as news becomes available.
