Ovi Store improved with 5-star rating system, more app information

Updated Ovi Store

Nokia is tackling the Ovi Store issues, as reported by their users. The updated client comes with few notable changes:

  • Now it’s easier to browse around the store and pick apps you want to download/purchase, with many of them [applications] coming with example screenshots.
  • Rating system went from 3 to 5 stars. In addition, only users who actually purchased or downloaded the application can comment on it (like in iTunes). Moreover, alongside each comment, there’s a device used by the person who submitted his or her two cents, which is very useful — i.e. if something runs slowly on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, it’s usually faster on the N97.
  • Desktop client is improved as well, featuring cleaner search results that are presented in a list-based view. Additionally, the desktop client immediately links to the “Nokia Mobile Device Selector” (if the device isn’t selected), ensuring your chosen device is continually matched with the correct content in Store.

To get the latest Ovi Store client, open up the Store application and click “accept” when prompted to install the new software. It’s that easy. 😉
