There’s nothing like an eye-catching infographic to wrap up the week. Aside from iPhone OS 4.0-related news, this past week has been all about the Apple iPad tablet. To that end, you might be interested in knowing how iPad apps breakdown in terms of cost and sales. You might also want to know how frequently iPad users are tweeting and which parts of the US are most sprung on the shiny, new Apple tablet device. Good thing for you there’s a snazzy new infographic from designer John Jumahara and account planner Johnathan Bonnell, showing off everything you wanted to know about the iPad’s demographic data.
The infographic tells us that 80% of iPad apps are paid. Of those apps, they tend to run an average of $3 more compared to their iPhone counterparts. As of April 4th, there are currently 3,122 iPad apps, serving over 300,000 iPad units that have been sold. More interesting is the little factoid about Twitter users sending out 26k tweets (at its peak) about the iPad during the first 24 hours of iPad sales.
And, it’s worth noting that coastal regions have the highest adoption rates. California is the single largest iPad market. The East Coast also shows high adoption rates. What about Middle America and The South? What about them indeed…
