Over the weekend, those sneaky folks over in Cupertino have silently changed the shipping date for all iPad 3G models. Did you notice this? The date is now listed as ‘Ships: By May 7th’. If you’ve had one of the 3G pre-orders in for a long time now, don’t fret. Previous pre-orders are still apparently scheduled for the ‘late April’ delivery. However, if you want to hop on and place your pre-order now, you can expect it at your front door by May 7th. Very nice.
True, this is all well and good for US customers, but the rest of the world, well, we’re still feeling a little jaded. Apple (if you haven’t heard) has delayed the international release of the iPad by one month, pushing things back to ‘late May’. It’s true, patience is a virtue…Bu I’m not sure I have any left. I may pick one up next week while I’m in the US. We’ll see.
