Google Navigation is a brilliant little application, and during my 45 day stay in the United States I used it extensively, but then I came back to Europe and sadly it didn’t work anymore. This seemed unfair. Google has cars driving around, with cameras attached to the roof, all the time. Why should the Americans get something before we do? After all, we get all the cool handsets before the colonies, so what makes this different?
There’s probably some back room legal stuff that goes over our heads, but anyway, today I’m happy to report that UK Android owners, running either 2.1 or 1.6, and using the latest version of Google Maps, now have Google Navigation working!
Try it out and let us know if it gets you around London without making you end up in the thames.
