Remember the Commodore 64 emulator for iPhone? How about the Atari 2600 emulator for iPhone I told you about not so long ago? Well, if you’re into retro gaming, and pack an iPhone, there’s one more emulator coming down the pipe that you’ll want to take note of.
We’ve learned via Manomio (the retro emulator programmers extraordinaire) that not only is the Atari 2600 emulator on the way, but an Amiga 500 emulator is in the works too! Good stuff!
The Amiga 500 emulator is a tech demo at the moment, but hopefully things progress nicely. The folks at Manomio are playing their cards right when it comes to their emulators. Apple generally frowns upon the whole emulator scene, but they’ve worked out the kinks to achieve Apple-approved coding, and have talked with other developers to ensure the proper licenses are in place (for their C64 games, for example)… These guys have their act together.
Stay tuned for more news on this as it breaks. Can’t wait to load these new emulators up when they become available.
