Android Running on a BlackBerry Curve 8530

Having worked in web and graphic design for most of my professional career, I know that sometimes things can slip through quality control… things that should be caught. Mixups happen, but the one I’m going to tell you about this evening is fairly hilarious.

Check out the shot above. It’s a shot of a Best Buy promotional poster for the BlackBerry 8530. Notice anything a little odd? What the, is that the Android robot peeking out from the 8530? It sure is! Obviously the designers on this project weren’t big smartphone users… Not a huge surprise. But what gets me on this one is the fact that the poster still managed to find its way into display at Best Buy!

I hope the folks that designed this, and the folks at Best Buy at the very least had a good chuckle. I know I did. Actually, now that I think of it… BlackBerry hardware running Android? Any takers? 😛
