iPad is Going International on Friday, May 28th

OK ‘internationals’, some quick and exciting iPad news for you all this morning. We all know the international launch of the iPad was delayed, but all we really knew is that it was coming in ‘late May’. We didn’t really have a date to peg it down to… Until now. If you live in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland or the UK, the iPad is going to be available in your area on Friday, May 28th… and not just the WiFi version, WiFi AND WiFi+3G models will be available. In addition to this, pre-orders are going to start on Monday, May 10th. Yes, that’s next monday. Get ready for some pre-order action!

Unfortunately I do have some bad news for folks in other areas. If you like in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand or Singapore… Apple tells us that the plan is to launch the iPad in those areas in July. An official announcement will be made at a later date.

So, to all of the great folks getting the iPad later this month… Are you going to pre-order, or wait for availability on the 28th? Or can you simply not wait, and are going to hop in the car/plane/bicycle and head on down to the US to get your iPad now? Tell me what you think in the comments.
