As its touch-enabled application is approaching the one million downloads mark in Nokia’s Ovi Store, Syntonetic decided to launch a version of Playlist DJ for non-touchscreen equipped Nokia smartphones, namely those running Symbian S60 3.2 (Feature pack 2). In total, Syntonetic’s baby now works on 20 phones, including the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic, 5630 XpressMusic, 5730 XpressMusic, 6210 Navigator, 6220 Classic, 6700 Slide, 6710 Navigator, 6720 classic, 6730 classic, N78, N79, N85, N86 8MP, N96, 5230, 5233, 5530, 5800, N97 and X6.
Playlist DJ creates instant playlists using songs from one’s own personal music library. You tell the app what kind of music you want by adjusting sliders labeled “joy,” “passion,” “anger” and “tempo,” and the app composes a playlist instantly.
The new version also features a message channel to alert you about a new version availability, and to deliver other important notifications. Playlist DJ for non-touch devices will be advertising-supported — and I assume the same will happen with the touch version, as well (though they don’t mention it in the press release)…
Enough said. It’s a free app and you can grab it from a link below.
