We don’t usually see an iPad game turned into an iPhone title. Rather it’s the other way round, hence we picked up the story involving IMS SA which has released Kodix for iPhone, a brain teaser game that hails from the code-breaking boardgame – Mastermind.
The initial iPad title was called (guess?) Kodix HD, and it reached the top 40 list pretty fast. Now the iPhone game follows, though I doubt it will be as successful considering the sheer number of apps available.
Anyway, as a player you should employ your “most cunning powers” of deduction and logic to crack the hidden sequence. There are 4 levels of increasing difficulty, and the good ol’ auto-save that allows you to pick up and play right where you left off. Moreover, you can select from several “beautifully rendered” custom themes, challenge friends via email, and compare scores via OpenFeint-run scoreboard. The last mentioned (OpenFeint integration) will also soon be incorporate in the Kodix for iPad…
