junaio adds real estate listings in its augmented reality app/service

junaio keeps adding new channels to its augmented reality app/service. Their latest addition deals with real estate. In that sense, they’ve partnered with two of the leading real estate search engines, ROFO and HotPads, which brought their commercial and residential real estate databases, respectively, to the platform.

The two companies are one of the first in real estate market to use augmented reality to visually show users all nearby properties in a several mile radius on their phone to “take the hassle out of property search.” All properties and listing information are overlaid on top of the user’s camera view to point them to availabilities nearby.

In real life, this is how it works. Go to the part of the city where you want to buy or rent an apartment or office and then start the junaio app. Now all you have to do is walk down the streets while keeping your phone in front of your eyes. You’ll see the dots pointing to available real estate and once you click on it, you’ll get all the additional information. Sounds cool, doesn’t it? 😉

And before I let you go, we have a demo video to share. That’s after the jump, of course.

Finally, junaio is available for the iPhone 3GS and Android. Apple AppStore link is here, while Android users will have to search for “junaio” in the Android Market to grab the app.
