TCoder allows journalists to log press conferences on their iPhone

Here’s one of those apps every radio and/or TV journalist could use. It’s called TCoder and it allows them [journalists] to log press conferences, speeches, presentations and so on using nothing but their iPhone or iPod Touch.

The application is made to enable perfect synchronization with the time code of a recorder, removing the need to pay constant attention to the counter or constantly ask the camera operator about the timing.

It’s a nice little app that will certainly help its targeted market. Now I wonder whether iZinkit, the company behind TCoder, plans to bring it to other platforms. It would be an even better idea to use such an app on a QWERTY keyboard equipped device like the Motorola DROID/Milestone or some of the Windows Mobile-powered smartphones (which again come with a physical keyboard). Don’t get me wrong, I like the all-touchscreen form factor, but nothing replaces a dedicated keyboard in my book, especially if more typing required…
