A quickie here for all of the new Canadian iPad owners coast to coast, to coast. If you haven’t activated your data connection with Rogers or Bell just yet, you may want to give Fido a look too… They could very well join the iPad party as well.
Check out a shot from Fido’s internal sales system above. It shows off the iPad 3G as eligible hardware. Now, one would have to assume the plans to be offered will be identical to Rogers. After all, Fido is the discount branch of Rogers and all… That said, when we assume, we sometimes make an….. Oh, nevermind.
If nothing else we can conclude from this that Fido will soon have micro SIM’s on-board, which means the iPhone 4G could very well find its way to Rogers’ discount arm as well. Look for Fido to launch their iPad data plans at $15 for 250MB and $35 for 5GB. No launch date for these data plans has been found or mentioned yet, but I’ll keep my eyes and ears open.
