Those in Canada who have been waiting feverishly for the pink BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 was spotted late last week will be happy to hear that it’s now on the Telus online store for $29.99 on contract, as rumoured. So, what about Bell and Rogers? Bell, and its subsidiary Virgin Mobile Canada, will apparently be selling the Pearl 3G for $49.99 on contract based on early documents, but pricing will probably be lowered to meet Telus and Rogers. This is the first we’ve heard of a Bell release of the Pearl 9100, but it was more or less guaranteed once Telus announced that they would have it. Rogers is for sure getting the Pearl 3G as well, but there’s no word on a date other than “soon”.
The device itself is pretty awesome: HVGA display, optical trackpad, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS, 3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, microSD memory card slot, and SureType keypad. Check out our review for a closer look, but all-in-all it’s a slimmer, sleeker Bold 9700 – just keep in mind that the keyboard takes some getting used to.
If you just can’t wait on the other carriers, you can pick up Telus’ BlackBerry Pearl 9100 over here, but only in pink – the black one is apparently coming soon.
