A recent post in the Tommi’s blog indicates that you will NOT be able to upgrade your S60 3rd Edition device with the Feature pack 1. The problem is that the Feature packs are not all about software, they may include device specific features.
Does this means that you can not have all the coolness of the Nokia N95 on your existing device? My guess (or hope) is not – I believe that we will soon have S60 Browser 2.0 available for download. The main point of the Feature pack 1 seems to be the HSDPA support, which requires a new chip, not present in the current devices.
However, since HSDPA is still not widely present, there’s no rush. But, I still want all the software from the FP1.
