Intellisync Mobile Suite provides access to powerful collaboration tools,
such as wireless email and contacts and calendar syncronization. Flexible and
easy to manage, the platform is based on industry standards and connects to
virtually any corporate or personal email system, including Microsoft
Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and over 300 other personal email systems. The
service runs on Nokia devices, as well as other Symbian OS, Palm OS and
Windows Mobile products."The potential market for mobile email is huge and new technologies can
help companies and people gain the greatest advantage from mobility," says
Valerio Tavazzi, Head of Enterprise Solutions, Nokia Italia. "By combining
the capabilities of Intellisync Mobile Suite from Nokia and Phonemail’s
hosted mobility services, we intend to make wireless email accessible, in an
easy and convenient way, for anyone using a mobile device."Source: Yahoo
Not much to say about this press release since I’m not a corporate user. I do have an idea of what a consumer service should look like, because frankly there are more consumers then businessmen. I’ll give you a hint: OWA.
I wonder how well Nokia’s E series device sync with the upcoming release of Exchange 2007, that’s the most important thing for the company to be focusing on in my opinion.
