After the US, Nokia has announced the launch of its E62 smart phone in India.

Part of Nokia’s flagship Eseries, and one of the few smart phones that sport a built-in memory as large as 90MB, the Nokia E62 is ideal for meeting business requirements of today’s mobile workforce.

Speaking at the launch, Chakrapani GK, Country General Manager of Nokia Enterprise Solutions, said, "According to InStat, a leading market research firm, 18.8 million smart phones were sold in APAC in 2006, and this number is expected to increase to 64.2 million by 2010. We have introduced the Nokia E62 smart phone to catalyze this growing need for enterprise mobility. The Nokia E62 smart phone offers huge inbuilt memory, multiple email solutions, and key business applications making it a ‘must have’ device for today’s dynamic mobile workforce."

The Nokia E62 smart phone is immediately available across the country for approximately Rs 19,129.

Congratulations, have fun with the keyboard guys! 80% market share in India, I really wonder how many models Nokia plans to sell in this region.
