Reformat the laptop day = slow blogging day

What am I typing on? My older ThinkPad; Top of the line at the turn of the century!

Yesterday I didn’t do my "Made in Finland" post. My excuse: Physics test Monday night, Organic Chemistry II test this morning.

I’m going to do that right now while my hard drive is zeroing out. You have no idea how messed up my MBR is. At one point I had Vista RC2, Vista RTM, Windows XP Professional SP 2, Ubuntu 6.06, and Ubuntu 7.04 Alpha 1 on Daria. Yes I named my laptop after a cartoon character I fell in love with growing up.

What can I say? I’m a geek who likes to play around!

Just get a mac! Coming from someone who used to be just like you (trust me)

You don’t know my usage habits, you don’t know my level of competency on the Windows platform, you don’t know that I’ve had a Mac before.

    “Just get a mac!”

    No thank you.

dude thats someny windows on ur laptop!! why did you have all that on ur comp?

hahaha i like that comment “just get a mac!” so funny!!

You’re right, I guess once you grow up a little, you realize just how precious those few days and hours wasted, I mean taken up with reformating and reinstalling everything, really are.

Btw, main reason I switched to Mac, was because my “level of competency” with windows was at a point where pure boredom set in. Oh, and did I mention that it just works?!!

(not trying to start a fight here, actually, yours has become my no.1 blog regarding Nokia/Symbian info, so thanks for that & keep up the good work).

Well when I get older I’ll be able to have more than one computer.

I used to have 2 but then got rid of them so I could have one ultra portable that I take with me everywhere.

This isn’t a question about reliability, I just like to play with different operating systems. I had a Mac for 3 months last summer and I quickly, very quickly, grew bored of it. I’m more productive in front of a Windows box any day of the week. I swore I would never touch a mac again until MS Office was released as a universal binary.

Until that day happens, and until my income level rises, I’ll be sticking to PC’s I build and maintain in my spare time.

<3 my ThinkPad, although I wouldn’t mind a 30 inch Apple LCD with a Mac Pro triple booting Windows Vista, Mac OS X, and Ubuntu!
