CTIA: Sprint Announces Cisco Enzo 3G Router

SprintIn their push to expand mobile broadband options for the consumer, Sprint (NYSE: S) announced today, at CTIA, the availability of the Cisco Enzo 3G router. With “Cisco® 3G Wireless WAN (WWAN) High-speed WAN Interface Card (HWIC) solution used within the Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISRs),” the router will connect to Sprint’s own broadband network.

The broadband service and the router has been undergoing extensive testing and will be marketed as a “primary or backup access for business-critical applications.” Now, there aren’t any solid pricing or release details, but we can tell you that Sprint is planning a commercial release in the summer of 2007.
