Amp’d Mobile Creeping Up On 200,000 Subscribers

AmpWell, that sure was quick. Amp’d Mobile ended 2006 with 100,000 wireless subscribers and now, at the close of Q1 2007, they are reporting an additional 87,000 users. That’s quite an increase in subscriber-base for a company that was recently outed for not fully protecting it’s customers’ private info.

Apparently, when your rakin’ in the dough (to the tune of about $100 in revenue per user), it doesn’t matter how you treat your customers. So, good for them, but we’ll just stick with our Big Two (Cingular/T-mobile) GSM carriers.
