Yahoo may Buy UK Social Network Bebo for $1B

Bebo social network possibly getting baught by yahoo for 1 billion dollars, mobile version on Uk orangeWord on the street has it that the UK Social Network, Bebo, is being courted by Yahoo for a possible buyout – to the tune of $1 Billion.

Bebo has 25million users worldwide and recently made waves as Orange UK picked up the mobile version of the social network for integration into its handsets. Bebo Mobile could get an edge in the market with $1billion in backing from Yahoo. We’ll dish out the gossip as we get it!

    It appears there was some initial excitement to Yahoo on Friday, adding $1.17, or 4.1%, to $29.75 on the Nasdaq (YHOO). Today (Monday) though, there has been no press releases and it appears the excitement is over, dropping nearly a quarter to $29.51. Any updates?

    @ William: The may very well be a Bubble 2.0, but as long as you buy/sell based on valuation as opposed to speculation, you should be fine.
