In their push to expand their social networking offerings, Nokia has announced their intention to buy the photo-sharing social-networking service Twango. Anssi Vanjoki, head of Nokia’s multimedia unit said, “The Twango acquisition is a concrete step towards our Internet services vision of providing seamless access to information, entertainment, and social networks.”
The future of mobile phones definitely lies in social networking, and with this newest acquisition, Nokia is set to provide “the most complete suite of connected multimedia experiences including music, navigation, games, and… photos, videos, and a variety of document types.”
