We haven’t seen Telus announcing a wireless card for laptops for some time. Naturally, they’ve decided to change their mind just in time for the Christmas shopping season, and we have them offering the Sierra Wireless Aircard 597E. According to Sierra Wireless, the new ExpressCard uses the EV-DO Rev. A network to provide users with download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps.
So if you live in Canada, have an appropriate laptop (with ExpressCard slot) and Telus is covering your area — maybe it’s time to extend your mobility. The carrier is selling the Aircard 597E for CA$49.99 with a 3-year term, or for CA$299.99 sans any contract…
