Jajah goes iPhone

I guess you could’ve used Jajah on your iPhone even without their newly launched iPhone-optimized website. Still, it’s a nice addition to their offering, to allow iPhone (and iPod Touch) owners to talk for next to nothing with their buddies and business associates around the world. If you’re not familiar how Jajah works, you should know it connects you with a person you’re calling using the good ol’ callback functionality. In real life this works like this: you enter a phone number, your phone rings, your caller’s phone rings and both of you can start talking. Naturally, VoIP is used to save some cash along the way. Still, it’s worth noting that calling countries without developed infrastructure remains expensive. For instance reaching your buddy from Djibouti would cost you from $13.77/minute. Then again, do you really have someone to call there? ;)

I really doubt that Jajah can work on iPod touch as they provide VoIP service based on web callback.

Yeah, you’ll have to provide them with some phone number near you. The interface is optimized to work with iPod Touch as well…
