Yahoo! Go 3.0It’s not just the new mobile homepage Yahoo has launched at CES. It’s also the new Yahoo! Go 3.0 all-in-one mobile offering, which now includes a much better feature-rich user interface that can be customized and personalized according to the user’s needs. In addition, Yahoo! also bundled widget support with its new offering, allowing third-parties to also get a piece of the action.

Widget launch partners include eBay, MySpace and MTV, but the search/portal giant hopes that in the coming months more developers will join “the club.”

At the moment, Yahoo! Go 3.0 is available for the U.S. based users only and it should work on more than 30 mobile devices. International and more localized versions are coming later in the year…

Sigh..Yahoo Go! 1.0 was the best ever
Native Symbian application, integration of phone’s addressbook/calendar/messaging with the Yahoo addressbook/calendar/mail, a proper Messenger client with all smileys n audibles…

They discontinued it, totally ruined it with the one size fits all Java based 2.0 version, which just acts like a portal to their other services
    I don’t see 3.0 getting any better.

    Rex,

My feeling exactly. I loved Y! Go 1. Everything after that started to look like Tyco toys…something that would fit “Disney Mobile” phone rather than an advanced handset. I uninstalled ver 2 after 1 day of use on my 6680 years ago… totally took over my phone and was the WORST piece of software I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t feel like a portal…it feels like shit. Absolutely hate it.
