Polymer Vision, spun out of Philips, has been showing off its READIUS device for over two years now, but nothing has emerged beyond the prototype form. Now that’s a about to change, as Polymer will finally launch its flagship device this year. However, it won’t be the pure ebook reader as we previously thought. The foldable 5-inch screen equipped device will also boast a 3G radio on board, and will allow users to make phone calls with it.
And while we’ve no idea how much it will cost and what exactly “price comparable to a high-end mobile phone” means, we still look forward to see it (again) at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Hopefully, we’ll have more information by then. Stay tuned… One more photo after the jump.

The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do.
In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application.
