iPhone Drive 1.4 brings music library supportFans of the iPhone Drive software from Ecamm will be glad to hear that the Ecamm has released a free update (for registered owners, that is) for their iPhone Drive software. Ecamm kicks up iPhone Drive to v1.4 with a few new features.

For those that don’t already know, iPhone Drive turns your iPhone into a portable data-storage solution. You get full read-write access to the iPhone’s storage space, allowing you to take whatever files you need with you on the road. iPhone Drive won’t turn your iPhone into a USB drive (you need iPhone Drive installed on your computer to read the stored data), but this is the next-best solution.

iPhone Drive 1.4 allows you to play music stored on your iPhone directly from the iPhone Drive utility, the SMS text message archive and call history are now accessible, and onboard photos on the iPhone’s camera roll are now visible through the utility.

Of course, you still get read-write access for data files, ringtones, podcasts, audio books and notes.

iPhone Drive 1.4 is free for registered users, and will cost $19.95 for new customers. Grab it here.
