Samsung Anycall L258

Samsung is bringing the cool-lookin' candybar phone to Hong Kong and we guess the rest of China. We agree with the Korean giant that metallic-silver and black exterior of the Anycall L258 model, gives it "an added sense of sophistication and glamour" and somehow find this to be quite important for a device in the highly competitive mid-range market.

Anyway, the tri-band GSM/GPRS Anycall L258 comes with a 2.3" QVGA touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth support, microSD memory slot. Preinstalled software includes music player, web browser (Openwave), handwriting recognition, and an array of standard mobile phone apps like contacts, calendar, calculator, notes, etc. As for the size, the new Samsung phone measures 113×50x14.5 mm and has a weight of 97 grams. Once it hits the market, interested buyers will be able to get the Samsung Anycall L258 for HK$2,180 (around US$280).
