Future iPhone to be x86 powered, Intel inside

Now I’m not saying the next iPhone due to come out this year will have an Intel chip inside, but the one after that, think summer 2009, is looking like a strong candidate for Intel’s upcoming Moorestown chip. This slide from my friend Charlie over at TheINQ pretty much says it all:

Hopefully, you’re joking, just because someone made a powerpoint slide using pictures they grabbed off the web. (Like the other devices on that page.)
Is the product in the top left a Newton?
it isn’t news that Intel is trying to compete with ARM, by mid to late next year they should have chips that are competitive enough, in terms of power draw, to fit into something iPhone shaped.
knowing how cozy Intel and Apple are, i wouldn’t be surprised if they got first dibs on the new chip.
Well I can see the Nokia N800 there as part of “Generation 1″, and it sure is not using Intel chip. Someone just putting some exemplary images together, which were never indented to spread beyond the given presentation…
Exactly. Some source critique would not hurt. Your subject line doesn’t even have a “?” in it as if you were reporting a fact.
you don’t know how far back me and charlie go. if he says it’s going to happen then it’s going to happen. whether it is 2009 or 2010, it will happen.
