New Sony PSP concept adds slide-out game controls to the all touchscreen device

Check this out. Isn’t this the the perfect idea of a next PSP? Now imagine there’s a cell phone radio inside and that the device works like an iPhone but has the physical keys for better gameplay. Best of all, the keyboard is hidden underneath and you’ll use it only when in a need to entertain yourself.
I’m having a hard time justifying Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE)’s non-actions about the PSP phone. Yeah, there some patents filed, but that doesn’t mean much at this stage. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is pushing NGage, iPhone games are coming, what are you folks waiting for? This isn’t the first concept device we’ve seen — guys do something about it. You have the brand and virtually all the expertise in the world. What’s left? Don’t let us wait.

Sliders are too weak, I don’t like this formfactor because of this.

I really like this idea, as long as they integrate a phone into it. I think the concept of a touch screen with physical controls underneath is awesome. It would beat the hell out of the gay iphone and the G1.
This is an awesome design. If this includes the phone and GPS capabilities it would give the competition a run for their money. I would definitely buy one- if not two.

looks good but, the controller part could do with being more rounder for better player comfort, also for those that want the fone idea, perhaps they should do an apple trick ith the ipod touch/iphone, both the same thing except one has more hardware based features, keeps everybody happpy AND it shows apple up
looks cool but that wont be the best design, slide ARE weak, in a year its prolly gonna be loose like almost all slides phones out there and where would the shoulder buttons go? the current design is s far the best design they have, they just gotta slim it down and improve on the current specs
