According to sources close to Microsoft, the official Windows Mobile 6.1 launch is set to coincide with the April Fools’ day. However, you should know April 1st is also significant in other sense as the first day of CTIA Wireless, so this may happen after all. Knowing this, it will be hard to differentiate between real and “funny” news. We’ll try to keep up…
Back to the subject. The WinMo update is pretty much designed as a temporary solution before Windows Mobile 7 is officially rolled out. And that could wait, I tell ya’.
In the meantime, version 6.1 will do the job just as well, with such improvements as cleaner UI (less mess on the screen), new homescreen, task manager, copy/paste in Pocket Internet Explorer, and more.
