At this year’s CTIA, digital video solutions provider Monsoon Multimedia, which is also known as the manufacturer of SlingBox-like devices, announced HAVA support for the Nokia N800 and N810 Internet Tablets to allow customers to view and control their home TV from anywhere in the world over WiMAX or WiFi.
And here comes the twist. Aside from supporting Nokia’s tablet devices, Hava is also preparing to launch a new version of the player that will enable Nokia Internet Tablet to function as a “PVR-on-the-go.” To put it in other words – with the upcoming software you’ll be able to record a TV show, seamlessly sync it with the Tablet and watch it later from local memory.
The Monsoon HAVA Player for the Nokia Internet Tablet will be available in Q2 2008 as a free direct download.
