NetBlender goes live with BD Touch application – control your Bluray Disc player with your iPhone

Netblender connects Bluray Disc player to iPhone over BD LiveJust as we expected, NetBlender has officially outed their BD Touch application for iPhone and iPod Touch today. As you’ll probably recall, BD Touch essentially turns your iPhone (and iTouch) into a remote control for your Bluray Disc player (even the PS3).

Through the magic of your Bluray Player’s BD-Live technology, the iPhone in your pocket is now a remote control and even a portable media player. BD Touch allows you to send movies from, say, your PS3 to your iPhone straight from the disc menu. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has to build said features into the Bluray Disc before you can take your Bluray movies on the road.

Fret not, major studios are apparently behind the idea, so it’s only a matter of time before you can take your Bluray goodness with you anywhere you go.
