Metal Gear Solid on NGageNokia announced that it has the famous games publisher Konami on board for its NGage platform. The first title that will hit select (NGage compatible) NSeries mobile phones is the award-winning Metal Gear Solid Mobile.

The fans of Snake should expect “original content that can only be found on the mobile platform.” Then there’s stunning 3D graphics that captures “the atmosphere of the METAL GEAR SOLID series” and “pushes the capabilities of the mobile platform.” The PR people never fail to amaze me…

Anyway, the game was developed in conjunction with Ideaworks3D and utilizing its Airplay 3.5 SDK. No information about the release date were given. However, we do have have Nokia’s Gregg Sauter words, who said: “METAL GEAR SOLID on N-Gage will raise the bar with respect to graphical detail and made-for-mobile features. We look forward to the launch of this great franchise on N-Gage.”

You know what you gotta do next, right? Buy that Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth headset and wait for the game to be released… Prepared! ;)

Maybe its just me but i find it really hard to justify paying money for a mobile game (i usually just download games for free)
However this could verywell be the first game i break the bank for

I usually download them too Zak. I would probably buy this but I’ve been holding back from buying mobile games becasue the instant the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) hits the shelves, it’s hitting my pocket!! I can’t wait for MMORPGs like World of Warcraft to be introduced into the mobile world. I was considering an account for the game but if you can get it mobile, I will probably subscribe! I’m sure with the processing speed of the phones these days, it should be possible! Then who knows, maybe Halo will come to Windows Mobile! Those will be the days!!!!
