SanDisk Mobile Ultra memorySanDisk recently unveiled its latest optimized-for-mobile memory cards. Available in microSD, microSDH and Memory Stick Micro (M2) formats and in capacities of 2GB, 4GB, 8GB – the new cards are touted as the “industry’s first premium mobile phone storage cards.”

I just wanted to let the public know that Sandisk’s “Mobile Ultra” isn’t so Ultra!! I have been buying their products for years with no problems, until now that is! Sometime this year I decided to buy the new T-Mobile G1. I said to myself, with this type of phone I need the best micro card out there! I decided to go with Sandisk’s “Mobile Ultra” 8gb micro sd card. I put my complete faith in this product so I started adding pictures and video! When it was all done and said, I had a total of 4,568 pics and close to 250 mp4’s(video)!!! When you have that many pics & vids, common sense will tell you to back them up and backup your backup but I didn’t!!! One day(not too long ago) I was going through my pics & vids on my G1 and then it happened! One by one each pic and video were disappearing right before my eyes!! I couldn’t do anything, it happened so quick there was nothing I could do!! Why did this happen? I couldn’t begin to tell you!! I tried to recover them on my computer with no luck!! I had to buy a software recovery program “Stellar Photo Recovery($39)” … Well that wasn’t enough, I also had too downloaded for Free “Pandora’s Recovery”! Excellent recovery program, although it doesn’t recover video! However it did recover all my photos or very close too it!! Thank you Pandora!! All my videos were partially restored (about 10 to 30secs played on each video)! Morale of this story don’t believe everything you read on a product and never put so much faith on a product that you don’t even backup your micro card! I put so much faith in this product and it caused me to go blind, common sense wise! Please, don’t make the same mistake I did, backup your backup because the outcome of all this was devastating!!! My mind is still going a thousand MPH thinking how this all happened??? If anyone might know why, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I love Sandisk and I will probably buy more of their products but Buyers Beware and take Precautionary measures! I know I am very disappointed!!!
