Did Apple borrow their iPhone3G design from Samsung’s LCD TVs?

(Before I begin – apoogies for the poor quality photo – this is from my supposedly excellent 5MP Mobile camera!)
The other day I was stood looking at our Samsung LCD TV, and something struck me – it looks ALOT like a new iPhone turned on it’s side – scarily so in fact. The only differences are the position of the single facia button (obviously it’s on the side of the TV if you are looking at it sideways), and the Samsung logo. Other than that, they look pretty much identical, design-wise. Even the rear casing has the same material look and feel to it!
That lead me to think, I wonder if Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s latest design was ‘inspired’ by other consumer goods – I mean, Apple’s device has been cloned more times than we can count, so could it happen in the other direction?
Of course, this is just a bit of harmless fun – I am sure the iPhone3G was a completely original design – but similarities crop up in the strangest places, don’t they……!

LMAO! Your Right! They do look completely simular! Wow, just slap an Apple sticker on the back and but the power button on it’s side and BOOM, iPhone… Lol. Kinda figured that they would steal their designs from other companies but then again, I am an Apple hater…
Nice TV, Ben. I have that exact same LCD model. Incidentally, the larger Plasma units don’t look anything like the iPhone 3G
Amazing Picture
I was thinking to buy a plasma TV because of the image quality, until I saw the reviews of this TV, then I went to see it by my self in the store, then I realise why to many excellent reviews. This TV has the image quality I was looking for. If you are looking image quality buy it.
