Apple iPhone 2.2 OS shows off refreshed iPhone Safari

iPhone Safari refresh - this is the new iPhone Safari

Unless your a bona-fide Apple iPhone developer, chances are you don’t have access to the latest iPhone OS beta and the changes hidden within. That’s where we step in.

The iPhone 2.2 OS beta 1 that was seeded to iPhone developers earlier this week apparently includes a refreshed iPhone Safari UI. The picture you see here shows a new iPhone Safari design that does away with the magnifying glass icon in favor of a dedicated search bar riding shotgun alongside the URL bar. The refresh-button has been moved from beside the URL bar to within. The new design results in a UI more in line with the desktop version of the Safari browser.

Of course, we’re all still waiting on Apple to implement some sort of global cut-and-paste functionality on the iPhone and iPhone 3G
