Nameo is a new iPhone app designed to help iPhone owners exchange virtual business cards. It won’t use SMS to send your contact information. Rather, once you click the big “Connect” button, the application looks for users with iPhones near you who can receive a vCard — they also need to have Nameo installed on their iPhones.
On the downside, though, Nameo only allows users to exchange select contact details — including name, email address and phone number. However, the developer behind the app (Meganova BV) wowed to add more options including contact photos in a future release.
In the meantime, if name, email and phone number are good enough for you, here’s a link to the AppStore from where you can purchase Nameo for $0.99.
