Remember a couple months back when we heard that the Palm Treo Pro 850 would be hitting CDMA networks in “the future?” Right, well it looks like we’ve done and caught up with that future. Thanks to a bit of sleuthing by WMExperts, we now have what looks like evidence that a CDMA variant of the Palm Treo Pro 850 is surfing around Sprint’s 3G network.

Mobile speed test results from DSL Reports shows a “Sprint Treo850e” sucking down an impressive 1060Kbps (that’s over 1 megabit per second, folks) worth of data with a 0.229 second latency. The Palm Treo 850 is known as the Palm Treo Pro around these parts, and it stands to reason that the Treo 850e is the CDMA cousin to the Palm Treo Pro.

So, how long until Sprint picks up the Palm Treo Pro? We have no idea. But, given that the handset is already being field tested on the Sprint network, we’d venture a guess at the Windows Mobile 6.0-powered Treo Pro getting all CDMA’ed out in the near future.
