HTC Touch Diamond coming to Alltel soon

Love that sleekly styled HTC Touch Diamond and it’s beautiful full-VGA touchscreen display? Of course you do. Who doesn’t love a feature-packed smartphone with a gorgeously high-resolution touchscreen, GPS, WiFi, 3G data connectivity, and 3.2 megapixel camera?

Problem is, you’ll have to jump on board the good-ship Sprint to have a chance at owning this slick little handset. The Sprint HTC Touch Diamond sports CDMA guts, so unless you’re willing to shell out the big-bucks for an unlocked GSM variant of the HTC Touch Diamond, Sprint is really the only game in town. But, not for long.

Sprint’s CDMA competitor, Alltel, will soon be bringing their own HTC Touch Diamond to market in CDMA guise. The Alltel HTC Touch Diamond hasn’t exactly been announced just yet, but from the looks of the unboxing photos we found on Howard Forums, the HTC Touch Diamond is a definite lock for the No. 3 CDMA carrier. There’s no word on exactly when Alltel will be launching the HTC Touch Diamond, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it drop sooner rather than later.
