Verizon BlackBerry 9530 Storm priced at $219.99

Verizon BlackBerry Storm

After some hefty guesswork, we’ve finally got a solid pricetag for the Verizon BlackBerry Storm based on a Verizon test site. On a two-year contract the Storm will cost $219.99, $289.99 on one year and finally $519.99 sans contract. The ballpark we had previously guessed based on the approximate prize value of their contest was $299 on contract and $499 off contract. It’s good to see the contract price as significantly cheaper than that, and part of me can’t help but think it has something to do with undercutting AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold which is going for $299. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Bold, but when holiday shoppers are faced with an expensive, stuffy-looking business smartphone and a cheaper touchscreen device that basically does the same thing, it seems like the choice will be easy to make. Can’t wait to get one? The last we heard, the BlackBerry Storm from Verizon will be available later this month.
