Samsung Gravity T459 Comes to T-Mobile As Expected

As expected, the Samsung Gravity T459 has made its way to T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) for the holiday season. Confirmations have been reported that the Gravity is in stores, but not on display at this hour. The Gravity T459 is a nifty little slider with the following features:

- Aqua with white or Lime with Gray finish
- Web-enabled
- Multiple messaging options (text messaging, picture messaging, video messaging)
- Built-in email clients including AOL, AIM and Yahoo! as well as easy access to popular POP3 email such as Gmail
- AOL®, ICQ, Windows Live®, and Yahoo!® Instant Messenger
- Bluetooth® wireless technology
- microSD™ (up to 4 GB) expansion memory
- Advanced speech recognition
- Music and video player
- Speakerphone
- Personal organizer (calendar, calculator, currency converter, notepad, to-do list)
- Dimensions: 4.53” x 2.07” x 0.70”; 4.3 ounces
- Display: 176 x 220 Pixels, 262K TFT

If you decide to head over to T-Mo to pick one up, you should be able to choose from two color options. Lime and gray (above) or aqua with white. Pricetag will fall-in at $49.99 with the usual $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract.

I really like this phone even though T-Mobile will not honor their rebate on it. They did not honor my rebate on my last upgrade either. I followed all the rules exactly on both rebates. I know, I was dumb to trust T-Mobile. Anyway, there is one odd thing about the phone. The battery power indicator is like a bad gas gauge on a car. Their are 5 bars. The first two will disappear in a day or two. The third stays on for another day or two. The next to last bar lasts 2 or three more days, then it will show the last bar for a week. You never know how much battery power you have left.
