The developers over at Chilli X have just released their third app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Called ‘DeskClock’, the app is an uber-simple clock/date/calendar all wrapped into one simple screen. DeskClock displays the current time, date and month in an easy-to-read format, ideal if you’re in need of a good looking clock on your desk. You can choose from a 12 or 24 hour time display, and change up the color scheme as well.
The app overrides the auto-lock setting, so your iPhone will not go to sleep on you. If you want your iPhone to start going back to sleep… Simple exit the app and you’re back to normal. I would have to think this is perfect for those times when you have your iPhone charging next to your computer.
I like the looks of this app… simple and nicely designed. I actually don’t have a clock on my desk in the office, so heck… might be worth a spin. Not convinced that the $0.99 price tag is correct… this one has the markings of a typical free app. However, I could very well be wrong. After poking around the reviews thus far in the App Store… This one has been getting nothing but good reviews.
