After only 14 weeks in Beta, Google’s Chrome Browser has gone all official on us. They’ve dropped the ‘Beta’ label from the browser and are ready to rock and/or roll. Google claims to have over 10 million active Chrome users worldwide at this point in time.

Google has tweaked and fixed a bunch of minor and major bugs since the original Beta launch. On top of that, they’ve increased performance on the built-in JavaScript engine (V8), added a bookmark manager, and threw in a whack of user interface changes to make things easier to use (particularly access to privacy settings). Google has also noted that an extension platform is on the way for Chrome, which should encourage some cool add-ons and development.

To get started with the official Chrome browser, head on over to http://www.google.com/chrome for more information.

Note: There is a sign-up page for Google Chrome Mac development updates. Looks like they’re working on the Mac version… Would expect this to come down the tube in early 2009. Sign-up if you want to stay informed.
